There’s an ad that used to run on TV advertising cheese. We won’t name the brand here, but we’re sure you’ll recall it. The tag line for the brand was “Good things take time”. The same could be said for the launch of Holy Trinity’s website. Much of our life today, or at least the way we consume information and connect with others, centres around the internet. We learned that to be true during Covid lockdowns as we transferred the life of the church and its worship to on-line platforms. But even then, it’s taken us a very long time to add the internet as a communications channel for the Parish.
What has triggered us acquiring an online presence? The search for a new ministry leader in the Parish. Rev Ros’ retirement from active ministry means that we are now actively praying and searching for a replacement for her. Our decision to not have a website means that any prospective new minister won’t be able to find much, or anything, about us online. We do of course have our Facebook page which includes some of the life of the Parish, but a website will enable us to give a much better sense of who we are as a worshipping community, and how we encourage each other to live Jesus-shaped lives. So, fill your boots everyone – this blog page on the website will allow you to post replies and make comments.
In case it’s not obvious, our website address looks a little different than others – it’s simply www.anglican.kiwi and our email addresses follow the same format, e.g. office@anglican.kiwi
